For the Frankfort Fall Fest carnival, anyone under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult who is 21 or older.
FRANKFORT, IL — The 55th annual Frankfort Fall Festival is set for Sept. 2-4 in downtown Frankfort, and Frankfort Police Department said it has made some changes for this year's fest.
"Every year the Frankfort Police Department and our public safety partners discuss, evaluate, and implement safety planning for the Frankfort Fall Festival," Police Chief Leanne Chelepis said. "We consider crime trends, available resources, and best practices in each public safety decision."
This year, police said a youth supervision policy will be added for the Frankfort Fall Festival carnival. The carnival runs from Aug. 30-Sept. 4, and the policy is in effect from 5 p.m. to the close of the carnival each day.
