11 District 304 Employees Retiring at End of School Year

An open house will be held be held on May 16 to celebrate the employees.

GENEVA, IL - Several District 304 employees will be retiring and area residents are welcomed to an open house this month to celebrate their career. The 10th annual retirement open house will be held on Tuesday, May 16, in the Geneva Middle School South cafeteria, 1415 Viking Drive. A drop-in reception will be held from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. followed by a brief recognition ceremony from 4:15 to 4:30 p.m.

The public is welcome to attend the event.

"This is a great opportunity for our district staff and students, our community, and the family/friends of our retirees to say “thanks” and “good luck” to those who have served our district so well for so many years," according to a District 304 news release. "We hope to see you there."

This year's retirees, who will be at the open house, are:

  • Bill Alles, Geneva Middle School South, music teacher, retiring after 32 years with the district
  • David Baier, Geneva High School, custodian, eight years
  • Laura Fisher, Harrison Street Elementary School, reading tutor, 23 years
  • Joanne Green, Mill Creek Elementary School, reading tutor, 16 years
  • Louise Grissinger, Geneva High School, art teacher, 17 years
  • Nancy Krasinski, William Elementary School, acceleration/enrichment, 23 years
  • Tom Livingston, Geneva Middle School North, technology education, 31 years
  • Mary Ann Stearn, Harrison Street Elementary School, librarian, 37 years
  • Diane Venneri, Fabyan Elementary School, 5th grade teacher, 25 years

Retirees that are not be able to attend: Margaret Clark, administrative assistant at Friendship Station, and reading lab assistant at Geneva Middle School South.
