GENEVA, IL - A 33-year-old DeKalb man accused of losing his temper and injuring a Geneva cop now faces several charges.
Matthew A. Wade, 33, of the 1500 block of Holmes Drive, has been charged with aggravated assault of a police officer, resisting or obstructing a police officer causing injury, criminal damage to property and assault.
The charges stem from a February incident involving Wade who went to a Mobil gas station on East State shortly before midnight to talk with a woman who had broken up with him, according to a DeKalb Daily Chronicle article. He backed his truck into the woman’s car and when police pulled him over, he was allegedly hostile and shouted profanities at officers.
