Aetna,Humana,UnitedHealth,Kaiser publish Price Data for Colonoscopy and other procedures,vaccinations

https://www.guroo.com/#! has compiled data from Aetna , Humana,United Healthcare,Kaiser Permanente joined to share their Cost Data --charges they paid for different procedures,vaccinations,visits etc. Health Cost Institute collected this DATA from these 4 DATA CONTRIBUTORS. We spoke to David Newman,Executive Director and he told us that range data for Colonoscopy is from American Colonoscopy and Endoscopy Center, Tricities Surgical Center, Delnor Hospital and Valley from 2012-2014. However because of LEGAL CONTRACTS that Aetna,Humana,United Healthcare,Kaiser Permanente have with PROVIDERS ,Health Cost Institute can not identify the names of these 4 providers.

David Newman suggested that Patients can call the providers and find the name of Lowest Cost (1682$)provider very easily.However the one who charges 4050$ is not going to give this information easily.These providers are likely to give you a RUNAROUND.

It is interesting that Prof.Leemore Dafny of Northwestern Univ.--who worked for DOJ--a few years ago--is on Health Cost Institute. We spoke with her about effects of Monopolies in our area on Prices and bullying tactics. We spoke to President Elect Trump's new HHS secretary Honorable Tom Price yesterday.He asked us to forward the data on monopolies including NY Times article Dated Feb.6,2015--When hospitals buy Doctors ,Patients CO-PAY go up --from 38$ to 90$ for Cardiac Sonogram. He is concerned about monopoly POWERS--and their effect on Competition and independent doctors and healthcare costs after seeing that ER visits shot up more than normal in our area after seeing Modernhealthcare article from 16th July,2015.

New HHS secretary was aware of this data published by Healthcare Institute.He would like the insurance co.share this information with all their customers and help them SHOP BETTER and reduce costs.
