GENEVA, IL — If you spot Geneva cops on the rooftop of Dunkin' on May 15, there's nothing to worry about. Officers will be up there to raise money for the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
The Geneva Police Department will be stationed at Dunkin', 206 E. State St., from 5 a.m. to noon, for the Cop on a Rooftop fundraiser benefiting Special Olympics Illinois.
Police will sell mugs, shirts, hats, pins and Harley Davidson raffle tickets. Customers who donate will be given a coupon for a free donut. Guests who donate $10 or more will receive a coupon for a free medium hot or iced coffee and a travel mug, while supplies last.
Those unable to attend but who wish to still donate can do so online by visiting the department's Cop On A Rooftop page.
In its 23rd year, the nationwide fundraiser has collected more than $11.1 million.
