GENEVA, IL — A section of Randall Road in Geneva will be resurfaced by the Kane County Division of Transportation, the city announced Wednesday.
The segment was recently incorporated into KCDT's highway resurfacing program for the year, which will also include seven other highways in the county.
Randall Road will be resurfaced from just north of Keslinger Road in Geneva to Route 38 in St. Charles. The county did not provide specific information about when work will begin on Randall Road, the city said.
The overall highway resurfacing project is expected to start in June and run through late November, weather permitting. Work hours will generally occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday, officials said.
The project will include milling and resurfacing, structure adjustments, curb and gutter replacement in certain areas, and pavement marking installation.
Temporary lane closures will be necessary daily during construction. The city advised drivers to consider alternate routes or plan on a longer commute.
Details on road closures, detours and active projects will be available on Kane County's Traffic Advisory website.
