• 1,500 Customers Lose Power After Construction Crew Strikes Underground Line In Geneva (patch.com) — Geneva residents on the west side briefly lost power Tuesday afternoon after a construction crew accidentally hit an underground line, affecting about 1,500 customers. Neighborhoods including Fisher Farms and Pepper Valley, plus Delnor Hospital and parts of Geneva Commons, saw service restored within about 30 minutes, with officials urging anyone still having issues to call Public Works.
• Adam Schilling, back after PCL tear, helping Wheaton North fly high at 4-0: Suburban Life football notebook (shawlocal.com) — Geneva High School's football team edged Wheaton Warrenville South 28-26, highlighted by a record-setting 481-yard passing night from the opposing quarterback. The story also looks ahead to Wheaton North's remaining schedule, where matchups with Batavia, Geneva, and Wheaton Warrenville South could shape the DuKane Conference race.
