The Mothers Club of Geneva, a philanthropic women’s organization serving our local community for more than 70 years, has awarded $10,000 in scholarships to Geneva school district residents for the 2013-14 school year. The seven recipients, all high school seniors, demonstrated academic excellence as well as commitment to community service.
The winners are:
Andrew Thomas, Indiana University, $2,500 award

“We were so impressed with the level of commitment to volunteering shown by our Geneva seniors. Their applications were so impressive and when we had the chance to meet them at the award ceremony we could see what brilliant young adults they were,” said Samantha Tawzer, Mothers Club philanthropic committee co-chair.
Mothers Club of Geneva is a not-for-profit organization, founded in 1940, which is dedicated to improving the lives of women, children and families in the Fox Valley area. We support our community while providing volunteer and leadership opportunities through fundraising, community outreach and social events.
