ArtVan Furniture Opening New Store on Randall Road

International home designer Hilary Farr, best known for her appearance on HGTV's "Love It Or List It," will help one lucky drawing winner do a home makeover with a $5,000 shopping spree.

The "Midwest's No. 1 furniture and mattress retailer" is gearing up for a Sept. 21 grand opening at 165 Randall Road in Batavia.

Art Van Furniture's Batavia store is the Michigan-based retailer’s third Chicagoland location, with three more locations opening in the coming months.

The company promises that the opening will bring additional sales, delivery and management jobs to the area.

Batavia mayor Jeff Schielke and Art Van Furniture executives will be on hand to cut the ceremonial ribbon at 9 a.m. Sept. 21, and there will be special sales throughout the day.

After the ceremony, Art Van will provide guests and customers with family-friendly entertainment, including a special appearance by the Batavia High School Dance Team, as well as a DJ, face painting, clowns and balloon artists.

As an interesting side note, Art Van has teamed up with international home designer Hilary Farr, best known for her appearance on HGTV’s Love It Or List It, to help a lucky winner with a home makeover.

Farr will shop directly with a drawing winner to make over their home, complete with an Art Van furniture $5,000 shopping spree. Shoppers can visit the new Batavia store or any other Art Van location or www.artvan.com through Monday, Oct. 14, to enter for a chance to win.
