Atwater’s Chef Collaborates with Galena Garlic Company

of was trying to decide how to spice up his spring menu with some local flavor when he thought of his neighbor up the street.

“I had been to Lazlo’s shop once before, and it really provoked my creativity. I began to think that we could work together on a project that combined his spice rubs with one of my favorite recipes,” he said.

Lazlo loved the idea of working with one of his fine dining culinary neighbors.

“Chef Jason came to me looking to invent something very special for Atwater’s spring menu, and he ended up creating his very own signature rub. We will offer Chef Jason’s Rub among our line of popular spices and rubs at .”

“My signature citrus-ginger rub offers flavor to the Alaskan Halibut and Jumbo Prawn that is very original, memorable, and delicious,” says Tsoris. “It’s a perfect complement to the beef and seafood fare highlighted on the spring menu.”

Since taking the helm at Atwater’s in 2009, Chef Jason has looked opportunities to work in cooperationr with other community members whenever possible.

“I have come to appreciate that Geneva is a close-knit town that appreciates the combined efforts of quality merchants who are willing to help each other out in
any way possible," he said.

The signature dish is now available on Atwater’s spring menu. Those who would like to prepare the special dish at home can pick up a recipe card from either Atwater’s restaurant at The Herrington Inn & Spa, or at The Galena
Garlic Company store on State Street in Geneva.
