Auditions Open For Geneva Playhouse 38 Original Play
Adults are invited to audition for Playhouse 38's next production, "We Hold These Truths."
GENEVA, IL — Geneva Park District's Playhouse 38 is gearing up for its production, an original play called "We Hold These Truths."
In "We Hold These Truths," a political science student sees she must get into the game of real-world politics and learn how to play it right and wrong in order to increase her chances of winning while she keeps her beliefs, values and, ultimately, herself intact. Local playwright and director Therese Harrold is overseeing the production, scheduled for May 29-31 and June 5-7.
"The tension and flux between patriotism and self-interests, ageism and new wave in the media is the impetus for this story," Harrold said in a statement. "The cast will hopefully enjoy portraying the push and shove, the give and take, the challenge of the dramatic process engaged with each other."
