Auditions Open For Playhouse 38 Fall Production: 'It Is Both Hilarious And Touching'

Geneva Park District's cultural arts facility will perform "The Dining Room" as its fall show.

GENEVA, IL — Auditions will be held Aug. 19-20 for Playhouse 38's fall production, "The Dining Room."

The show, by A.R. Gurney and led by Marge Uhlarik-Boller, who has been directing in the Chicagoland area for 50 years, is "a mosaic of a show."

"It is both hilarious and touching and uses the device of a dining room table to explore generations of a disappearing middle class through many moments of life," Uhlarik-Boller said in a statement. "The actors change roles and ages and form a perfect ensemble of characters."
