Bail Remains Revoked for Ex-Doctor Who Faces Sex Assault, Drug Charges
Mark Lewis remains in custody and his bail has been revoked.

Bail remains revoked for a former Geneva doctor accused of sex assault charges last year after he was recently arrested on drug charges.
On Wednesday, a Kane County judge revoked the bond for Mark Lewis of St. Charles, and his attorney was unable to sucessfully argue that his $1 million bail should be reinstated, according to the Daily Herald.
If it would have been reinstated, Lewis would have had to pay $100,000 for his release, according to the article.

On Thursday, May 7, officers from the North Central Narcotics Task Force found 199 marijuana plants in the St. Charles home of Mark Lewis, on Squire Lane, as well as a handgun, ammo and 11,722 grams of process pot.
Lewis, 55, is charged with one count each of unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, possession of cannabis and production of cannabis plants, He also is charged with possessing a firearm with a revoked FOID card and possessing firearm ammunition without a FOID card.

The street value of the seized marijuana and plants is estimated at more than $600,000.
Last July, Lewis was arrested and accused of sexually assaulting a woman at his home in Geneva following a house party in November 2012.
His medical license was suspended in June 2014 by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation because he had “engaged in sexually inappropriate conduct with several patients of his medical practice.”
