Batavia High's New Acapella Group to Perform This Sunday

The Batavia High School's new a-cappella group, Chromatics, will be performing with members of the BHS Marching Band this Sunday!

The Batavia High School’s new a-cappella group, Chromatics, will be performing on stage, along with members of the Batavia High School Marching Band at the Peg Bond Center bandshell from 5 – 6pm Sunday at this year’s Annual Ice Cream Social, to kickoff the 100th anniversary of Flag Day. Chromatics will perform arrangements of “The Star Spangled Banner”, “America the Beautiful”, plus a couple other pop favorites.

The Chromatics a-cappella group was started this past February when new Batavia High School Choir Director Peter Barsch wanted to find a way for the tremendous student musicians in BHS Choir to perform in the community more often. They are building their repertoire of a-cappella arrangements of pop, rock, and jazz hits, and are looking for more opportunities to perform at community events and local businesses. If you would like to have Chromatics perform at your event, please contact peter.barsch@bps101.net.

Hot dogs and ice cream sundaes will also be for sale, all proceeds go towards Batavia’s 4th of July Sky Concert. Bring the family and be prepared to have some fun at this old fashion town festival!
