Blizzard Delays Geneva Garbage Collection Pickup
Lakeshore Recycling announced the company will pick up trash and recycling one day later than normal.

GENEVA, IL – A blizzard that produced about eight inches of snow has pushed back Geneva's garbage collection one day later than normal during the week of Nov. 26. Lakeshore Recycling announced the company will pick up trash and recycling Friday and Saturday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. The normal Thursday to Friday schedule will resume the following week, according to a news release.
The city's curbside leaf collection has been temporarily halted. Kramer Tree Service and the City will re-evaluate weather conditions later this week to determine next steps for the program.
Updates will be posted online when more information becomes available. For more information about Geneva's refuse services, visit the city's website or call the Geneva Public Works Department at 630-232-1501.
