Brick Repair Project Will Impact Third Street Traffic: Geneva Police
Geneva's contractor will repair brick crosswalks on Third Street, including at James, Franklin and Fulton streets, in November.

GENEVA, IL — Brick crosswalks on South Third Street in downtown Geneva are scheduled to be repaired in November. As a result, the thoroughfare will be reduced to one lane starting Nov. 3.
The city's contractor will work from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to repair crosswalks on Third Street including at James, Franklin and Fulton streets. Work will start on James Street and progress south.
Construction is expected to be completed by Nov. 11, weather permitting, city officials said.

All lanes of traffic will reopen each evening before work resumes the following day. Flaggers will be installed to direct traffic, and repairs will be staggered so only one intersection is under construction at a given time, officials said.
