| Description | What is the Tootsie Roll Drive? In the 1970s the Knights of Columbus saw a need to help individuals with intellectual disabilities. The idea was simple. Put on yellow vests, stand at busy intersections, and storefronts offering Tootsie Rolls in exchange for small donations. How does your donation help your neighbor? Donations go to local non-profit organizations in the Fox Valley area that provide individuals with job opportunities, housing, medical needs, education, training, social opportunities, and Special Olympics funding. See our recipient organizations below: -Valley Sheltered Workshop - Batavia -Marklund- Geneva -Fox Valley Special -Recreation Association- Aurora -Association for Individual Development- Aurora -Special Camps For Kids- Winfield -Giant Steps -Rising Lights Project How do you donate? The 2025 Drive will be the weekend of September 6th, 7th, & 8th. Donate in person that weekend to get your Tootsie Roll. |
