Tallulah! I am a 1 -2 year old, 27 lb, terrier/border terrier mix who’s looking for my fur-ever family. I came from a high kill shelter in Kentucky and was saved by an awesome rescue team who placed me into a great foster home.

I have come such a long way, seen a lot of things, and I am ready to find a family who will love me as much as I love them. I do well with smaller dogs, but bigger dogs tend to scare me at first and I get uncomfortable, but don’t worry, my best friend is a large Pitbull and I grew to love her after a few days and now I look up to her! We lie together on the couch and in bed, play in the yard, and teach each other.

I am potty trained and learning house manners. I know a few commands, but I am eager and willing to learn if you teach me. I am really hoping for a family that will love me and have patience and take the time to teach me new things. I know with a little training and encouragement I can be the best companion. Raleigh, Dallas, and Branson - Red Bone Coonhound Mixes About 10 - 12 weeks. and 16 lbs

They came to Illinois from Alabama and are ready to take the world by storm! They are all smart and catch on quickly and are eager to learn. Housebreaking has begun and they are getting the hang of it!

Baby - Chihuahua Mix. Approx. 3 yrs old and 9 lbs

Baby's idea of a great day is to curl up in a little ball on your lap or next to you, under a blanket of course! Baby also enjoys going for walks and is great on a leash. She is a great little girl as she is no trouble when she is in a home. She doesn't get into things she shouldn't and her foster mom leaves her uncrated, even when no one is home. Baby is also potty pad trained which makes things very easy, especially during those cold winter months!!!

Baby loves all people that she meets and gets along great with other dogs and cats! Besides Baby's great personality, she has an ADORABLE little underbite and a snaggle tooth that sometimes appears when she smiles!

Grier - 2 yrs old, Approx. 40 lbs.

Grier is a beautiful, sweet girl! She was rescued from Tenn. where it is illegal for her to be adopted. Luckily, she had someone here who was willing to foster her! Now, she just needs to find someone who will love her forever!! Grier is as sweet as her pictures look. She is a gentle girl. She likes all the people she meets and gets along with the other dogs that she lives with. Grier is housebroken and walks well on a leash. Her foster mom can't say enough good things about her.

Stretch - Shepherd, Bassett Hound Mix, Approx. 8 months old, Approx. 50 lbs.

Stretch is the most happy go lucky boy! He arrived to rescue from TN and he’s happy to have a new start on life. This very unique little guy has a special look and personality all his own. Look at that smile!He loves to play ball and hang around with the other dog at his foster home. He follows his foster mom around the house and the yard, just to see what she’s up to, he loves to be with his human. Stretch is housebroken and crate trained, though he doesn’t need it as he stays out for extended periods of time and is very well behaved.

Liza - Approx. 4 months old, Cattle Dog/Beagle/?

Just look at those perky ears!!! Liza is an energetic puppy with an adventurous spirit. She currently weighs about 17 lbs. and we think she'll be a nice medium/large sized dog whens she's full grown. She is crate trained and sleeps well through the night. Liza is great with other dogs but she can be a bit rough with the cats in her foster home. She is almost house broken and has only chewed on her toys and bones. She will keep herself entertained for hours with chewing on her toys and bones. She is a very happy girl and would do great in a home with other dogs and children!

Buddy - Bassett Hound Mix, Approx. 7 yrs old, 42 lbs.

Buddy has had quite the life, if he could talk to us, I’m sure he would have many stories to tell. Unfortunately, some of those stories might be quite sad. Buddy loves people and animals of all kinds! He especially loves children! Buddy loves to cuddle with people and get as much attention as he can, especially rubs on his belly! Buddy’s energy level is low, but he does enjoy a good game of fetch from time to time! Buddy also enjoys short walks and does very nicely on a leash. Buddy is housebroken and crate trained.

Boots - Shepherd/Terrier Mix, Approx. 2-3 yrs old

Boots is a very smart boy. He loves to play and likes toys, balls, chewy treats, and bones. He also loves blueberries and chicken! He's good with other dogs, though he will defend his toys and chews, just like any dog who has led a shelter life. Boots is vocal and he let's you know when he needs to go out. Something may have happened in his past life, because Boots struggles with walking on wood floors, and so he appreciates that his mom has put some rugs down for him. Overall, Boots is a laid back boy who just wants to find a family who will love him!
