Chef Expanding Geneva Chocolate Shop to Open Small-Plates Restaurant
Chef Alain Roby plans to open PRIMO in the coming weeks.

World-renowned chef Alain Roby is expanding his All Chocolate Kitchen Shop at 33 S. Third Street in Geneva with plans to soon open a small-plates restaurant called PRIMO, according to the Daily Herald. Roby is hoping for a soft opening around Jan. 27.
Roby will serve French and Italian cheeses and wine pairings at the restaurant. The menu will also include small plates that feature a recipe from Roby’s mother, short ribs in red wine sauce, as well as a dish from his grandmother’s cookbook, crostini au fromage, which is toasted pieces of homemade potato bread that are brushed with garlic butter and topped with a melted cheese sauce, according to Crain’s Chicago Business
