Geneva students named to Lewis University dean’s list

Just over 1,400 students were honored on the Lewis University Dean's List for the 2022 Spring Semester.

To be eligible for this honor, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours during the semester with a grade point average of at least 3.5 and with no "D" or "F" grades.

  • Stephanie Hart, of Geneva, IL (60134) is studying Marketing in the College of Business at Lewis University.
  • Logan Hawkins, of Geneva, IL (60134) is studying Computer Science in the College of Aviation Science Technology at Lewis University.
  • Charles Peterson, of Geneva, IL (60134) is studying Music Business in the College of Humanities Fine Arts Comm at Lewis University.

Wheaton College names Geneva students to dean’s list

Dean's List honors are earned by undergraduate students who carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher on the 4.0 scale. The following students are named to the Spring 2022 Dean's List:

Geneva students among University of Tampa grads

The University of Tampa hosted a commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 7 to honor the 1,713 degree-seeking candidates at the University's 154th commencement.

The event was attended by the students, their family members and friends, UT faculty and staff members, and the general public. The ceremony included remarks by alumni and brothers, Javier Baldor '89, CEO of BST Global, and Carlos Baldor '87, president and chief technology officer of BST Global.

The following local students graduated from The University of Tampa.

  • Alexa Davis, of Geneva, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing BS.
  • Maddilyn Dolan, of Geneva, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism BA.

Local students make University of Utah dean’s list

The University of Utah congratulates more than 8,900 students who were named to the Spring 2022 Dean's List. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher in at least 12 graded credit hours during any one term.

Geneva student earns nod on Western Carolina University chancellor's list

Western Carolina University congratulates Lauren Corcoran, of Geneva, IL (60134), for being named to the Spring 2022 Chancellor's List. Corcoran was among more than 1,900 students to achieve this honor. To qualify for the Chancellor's List, students must earn a GPA of 3.8 or higher while completing a minimum of 12 credit hours.

University of Tampa honors Geneva students on dean's list

The University of Tampa has honored 1,912 students who were named to the dean's list for the Fall 2020 semester. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list.

The following local students were named to the dean's list:

  • Ella Kobylecky, of Geneva, Freshman majoring in Musical Theatre BFA
  • Maddilyn Dolan, of Geneva, Senior majoring in Journalism BA
  • Peter Ralston, of Geneva, Junior majoring in Sport Management BS

Geneva student inducted into Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi

Donah Michelle Wang of Geneva, Illinois, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Wang was initiated at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Wang is among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.
