College Credits: Geneva Students Graduate, Make Dean's Lists

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi inducts new members from Geneva

The following people recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

• Jeffrey Brendel of Geneva (60134) at Northern Illinois University
• Noelle Plucinsky of Geneva (60134) at Purdue University

They are among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.

Student from Geneva named to president’s list at Bob Jones University

Deeanna Perry, a Junior Public Health/Global Health major from Geneva, was among over 650 Bob Jones University students named to the Spring 2023 President's List.

The President's List recognizes students who earn a 3.75 or higher grade point average for the semester.

Belmont University announces spring 2023 dean's list

The following students achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University for the Spring 2023 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours (exclusive of audit and pass/fail courses this semester) and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C (inclusive of audit, pass/fail courses and zero-credit courses).

Geneva student named to SNHU dean’s list

Alicia Valdes of Geneva (60134) has been named to Southern New Hampshire University's Winter 2023 Dean's List. The winter terms run from January to May.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

Geneva native graduates from Trine University

John Konicek of Geneva completed the requirements for a degree from Trine University at the end of the Spring 2023 semester.

Konicek earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering at Trine.
