Commuter Parking Lot Spaces Will Be Closed Due To Construction: City
A fence installation is the reason parking spots in the southwest commuter permit parking lot in downtown Geneva will be closed for days.
GENEVA, IL — Commuters, your trips to work or elsewhere might be temporarily impacted as of Thursday.
A number of parking spaces in the southwest commuter permit parking lot — Lot A — in downtown Geneva will be closed for more than a week while workers install a fence. Sections of parking spaces on the south end of the lot will be blocked off as crews work in a rolling operation, from west to east.
Construction at the parking lot, located south of the Union Pacific West railway tracks west of Third Street, began Thursday and is expected to be completed April 15, weather permitting.

City officials said they anticipate enough permit parking spots will still be available throughout the week in Lot A, but commuters have the option to use any other downtown permit parking lots while work is being completed.
More information about the fence installation can be found by calling the Geneva Public Works Department at 630-232-1501.
