Construction Will Temporarily Reduce State Street To One Lane
A water leak will be repaired in the middle of the roadway, near Harrison Street on the city's east side.

GENEVA, IL — A water leak on State Street will be repaired starting at 9 a.m. Thursday, city officials announced Wednesday. As a result, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction until work is complete.
The Geneva Public Works Department will be working on the repair near Harrison Street on the city's east side. Construction will be taking place in the middle of the roadway, so traffic will be funneled to the outside lanes.
The road is expected to reopen Thursday afternoon. Until then, officials said drivers should use caution when driving through the area.
