Court Date Set for Geneva Woman Accused in Valentine's Day Mass-Murder Conspiracy

Lindsay K. Souvannarath, 23, of Geneva, and her co-conspirator, Randall Steven Shepherd, 20, are awaiting trial in Canada.

The Geneva woman who is accused of plotting to commit mass murder in Canada on Valentine’s Day is expected to appear in court this month where a trial date could be set, the Kane County Chronicle reports. Her next court date has been set for Jan. 28.

Lindsay K. Souvannarath 23,, and her co-conspirator, Randall Steven Shepherd, 20, are charged with conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit arson, conspiracy to use weapons for a dangerous purpose and unlawfully conveying threats through social media.

A third conspirator shot himself to death the night Souvannarath flew from Chicago to Halifax. Police say they planned to commit a mass murder at the Halifax Shopping Centre on Valentine’s Day.
