Deadlines to Participate in Swedish Days Events Near

Three different ways to be a part of the 2012 Swedish Days Festival presented by Cadence Health.

May 15— applications must be received in our office by this date. Only the first 75 applications received will be invited to audition on May 20 for a chance to perform during Swedish Days and win $1,000 First Place cash prize.

May 15—Represent your organization and/or business in the 63rd  on June 24. There is no application fee. Once your application has been reviewed, you will be issued a line up number. This parade draws tens of thousands from all over Illinois and beyond. 

June 1—The , a tradition started by founder Herb Granquist, continues on as the Granquist family are the new coordinators for this year. This event promotes music performance, competition and education for serious students of music. Students are grouped by instrument, age and years of instruction. A first-, second- and third-place award is given in each class. Solos, duets and ensembles are all encouraged to register. There are two levels of competition—Olympic and Concert. The 42nd annual music competition will be on Saturday, June 23.
