District 304 Announces 2 New Leadership Appointments

Geneva High School has a new student services coordinator and a new Dean of Students has been appointed at Geneva Middle School South.

Geneva Community Unit School District 304 has announced the appointment of two new leadership staff members.

New Geneva High School Student Services Coordinator

Shannon Del Re has been appointed to the position of Geneva High School Student Services Coordinator. Ms. Del Re has worked in Geneva CUSD 304 for the past three years as the Geneva High School Special Education Department Chair.

She has a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Aurora University (2011) and a Bachelor’s of Science in Special Education (2008) from Western Illinois University. Prior to working in Geneva, she served as a special education teacher and also Special Education Department Chair at Johnsburg High School.

Kristen Oros has been appointed Dean of Students at Geneva Middle School South. This position became available when Dan Jones, the former Dean, became the Assistant Principal at GMSS. Ms. Oros has been a mathematics teacher at Lisle High School for the past 3 years. Prior to that, she was a mathematics teacher at Hinckley-Big Rock High School. She has a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from North Central College (2015) and a Bachelor of Science Mathematics and Secondary Education from Illinois State University (2010).

“After a thorough interview process, Ms. Oros rose to the top,” said Superintendent Dr. Kent Mutchler. “We were impressed with her focus on building relationships with students, staff, and parents, and we believe that she is well-suited to take on this leadership role.”

Del Re and Oros will start in their new positions on July 1.
