Downtown Geneva Street To Close For Repairs: City
The water service replacement project will require a portion of Franklin Street to temporarily close.
GENEVA, IL — A block of Franklin Street will close to through-traffic Wednesday while crews work on a water service replacement project.
Traffic will be prohibited from driving down the downtown Geneva street between Fifth and Sixth streets, officials said. Crews from the Geneva Public Works Department briefly closed the roadway Tuesday to prepare the site for construction before temporarily reopening it ahead of Wednesday's work.
Drivers should use Campbell or Fulton streets as alternate routes, officials said.
