Downtown Geneva Water Main Breaks, Repairs Disrupt Traffic

Some traffic is reduced to one lane while crews repair a water main that broke, according to an alert.

GENEVA, IL — Crews from the Geneva Public Works Department are downtown Monday morning to repair a water main break near the Fox River bridge, officials said.

The break was detected Sunday near Buttermilk Restaurant, 7 W. State St., and stabalized until the full repair could be completed.

Following the morning rush hour, crews reduced westbound traffic to one lane and closed off the parking spaces in front of the restaurant.
