Driver Seriously Injured In Crash On Route 25 In Geneva: Kane County SA
The driver hit a brick mailbox, a car parked in a driveway and a utility pole after veering off Route 25 in Geneva, officials said.
GENEVA, IL — A 30-year-old man from Bloomingdale was seriously injured in a single-car crash July 8 on Route 25 in Geneva, according to the Kane County State's Attorney's Office.
The preliminary investigation indicates the man was driving north in the 800 block of North Bennett Street when the car veered off the east side of the road and hit a brick mailbox, a car parked in a driveway and a utility pole, State's Attorney Jamie Mosser said in a news release.
The man was airlifted to Loyola University Medical Center following the crash at about 1 a.m.

The Geneva police and fire departments responded to the crash with help from the St. Charles Police Department, Geneva Emergency Management Agency and Kane County Office of Emergency Management. Geneva Electric Department personnel responded to cut off power to the utility pole.
North Bennett Street, also known as Route 25, was shut down overnight from Woodward Avenue in Geneva to Moore Avenue in St. Charles while crews cleared the scene. The road reopened at about 7:45 a.m. July 8.
