Elburn McDonald's Hold Fundraiser for Kaneland Harter Middle School
Kaneland Harter Middle School of District 302 in Sugar Grove held a McTeacher's Night at the Elburn McDonald's
Kaneland Harter Middle School of District 302 in Sugar Grove held a McTeacher's Night at the Elburn McDonald's on Center Ave Wednesday, May 24. A McTeacher's Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald's and then giving a percentage of the night's sales to the local school.
On Wednesday, the restaurant was taken over by teachers excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families to raise money for Kaneland Harter Middle School. The students and families were excited to see their teachers and principal behind the counter and throughout the restaurant.
Many amazing teachers worked from the Middle School. The McTeacher's jobs included greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks, clearing tables, making ice cream cones and even helping in the drive- thru where Spanish teacher Mr. Lim had a BLAST singing the McDonald’s jingle every time he received a tip in the tip jar, where all proceeds went directly to the school.

The Chicago Bulls IncrediBulls made a special appearance and entertained everyone by having individuals shoot a mini ball into a mini hoop to win a free Chicago Bulls T-Shirt. So many kids left with free shirts and memories that will last a life time.
To end the evening the school's Spectacular choir, Mid-Knight Special, sang a few songs for everyone to enjoy. Principal Brian Faulkner had so much fun dancing and singing to the music.
