Emergency Foster Homes Needed!!
Please consider fostering or adopting to help these pups!
Lance, Maybelle and Rubie are in desperate need of foster homes. All of them have found themselves without a home or family through no fault of their own. Each of them deserves to be loved and cared for while they find the families that will love them forever. If we cannot find foster by this weekend, we will have no choice but to place these dogs in boarding. Our boarding partner is wonderful and we would trust them to care for all of our dogs, but since these dogs were pulled from high kill shelters, being in boarding is extremely stressful. They have been through so much, will you be the family that helps?
Rubie is some type of pointer, Lab, or hound mix. She is about 7 months old. Her mother came to Illinois shortly after giving birth in a shelter. Rubie and all of her siblings were adopted, but Rubie found herself dropped at the shelter, abandoned just like her mom was. She is young and very sweet.
Lance -Beagle/Pointer mix, 40 - 45lbs, DOB 6/19/2013. Lance was abandoned in Florida and is one of the lucky ones! He found rescue with us here in Illinois and he is now looking for a foster or his forever family. Lance has learned so much here and he is such a good boy! He has learned his basic commands, and is very treat motivated. He still loves to be outside and run around, but he also loves to just snuggle with you on the couch.

Maybelle was in a foster home but needs to be re-homed through no fault of her own. She is about 6 years old, is very loving, and deserves to have a foster or forever family that will give her the daily love and attention that she deserves.
All of these dogs nothing more than to be loved, and in return they will be loyal companions to the families that are lucky enough to foster or adopt them. Safe Haven Dog Rescue is hoping that you will see how beautiful they are and be willing to open your home to foster them while they search for their families.

While you foster, we pay all expenses from vetting, to food and we provide a crate, leash, collars, and toys. Your family provides love (something they desperately need!) and a safe place to lay their head until they find a forever home.
We request that you have the ability to take your foster to routine veterinary visits at our participating vets. These vets are located in Wheaton, Naperville, and Elmhurst. Spay/Neuters are done in North Aurora.
Fostering is the most life giving thing you can do for a dog or puppy! It is a very rewarding experience that will make a huge impact on their life. By becoming a foster you are saving 2 lives - the animal you bring into your home while he or she waits to be adopted, and the animal who gets to take your foster’s place in the shelter.
