Join Charisse Crisci for a weekend workshop and Journey through the Chakras to explore and awaken the Life Force Energy Centers in the subtle body. This abridged version of the eight week series, Meditation on the Chakras, will be knowledge based and designed for those dedicated to their yogic practice and committed to deeper exploration of their True Self.
The word chakra is a Sanskrit word that means "wheel" or "turning". The Chakras are described as the Life-Force Energy Centers or Wheels of Light Energy that rotate in the subtle body. According to traditional Indian medicine, there are seven major chakras, believed to be sacred centers of rotating vortices and considered to be focal points for the reception and transmission of energies. The seven major chakras are associated with various parts and organs of the human body that are also connected to mental and emotional interactions. These focal points are the key to energy flow that vitalizes the physical body and brings forth the development of our Self-Consciousness.
Collectively as a group we will delve into each Chakra through discussion, journaling, movement and meditation. You will learn the underlying nature of each Chakra, including the elements, emotions, patterns, and habits, bringing awareness to what expands the Chakras and what contracts them. We will create the space to awaken this dormant knowledge, bringing it to a Conscious level, to discover what is in alignment and out of alignment with your True Self.

We will make commitments to journal through the weekend to "see" what is buried in the subconscious. Once "Aware" we become "Responsible" for our choices. As opportunities arise we then have the knowledge to "See" what is happening and apply this knowledge to our lives, through relationships and experiences. With practice you can begin to choose courageously to take the path of growth or to choose the same conditioned path we are habitually accustomed to and knowing either choice is for your highest good. Additionally, Young Living therapeutic essential oils will be shared in each class to help promote healing at a cellular level. On Friday, beginning from the ground level and moving upward through the weekend, we will explore the root (Muladhara) and sacral (Swadhisthana) chakras. Saturday we move to the naval (Manipura) and heart (Anahata). We will complete the journey on Sunday traveling through the throat (Vishuddhi), 3rd Eye (Ajna) and crown (Sahasrara).
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a notebook for journaling.
