Fabyan Island To Close Monday For Trail Repaving

The island is expected to reopen on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

GENEVA, IL —Fabyan Island, part of Fabyan Forest Preserve in Geneva, will be closed Monday, Oct. 14, for trail repaving. The repaving is part of a larger project to install a bridge and remove the causeway, at the site, according to a news release from the Forest Preserve District of Kane County.

During the island closure, there will be no way to cross the Fox River by trail, to reach the opposite side of the preserve. The Fabyan Island and trail are expected to reopen to the public on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
