First Congregational 40 day Lenten give and TCFS baskets

First Congregational helps others during Lenten season

First Congregational Mission Ministry has,for the last few years, "given up items to help others", says Carolyn Fabian Ministry lead, "Every year we have helped Tri City Family Services by putting together Easter Baskets for some of their clients. For the last 3 years we have chosen to give up items for a 40 for 40 Lenten project. The last two years we gave to ReHome Center , an agency that helps settle people that are moving out of homelessness. All the items came from a needs list and were collected in a laundry basket. This year we opened it up so that we could help a few more agencies that were not part of ReHome centers clients."

Fabian and Gail Schlesinger, both from the church, delivered large boxes of food and other items to Tri City Family Services this week. Easter baskets accompanied each box. "we left the baskets for the parents to fill with stuff from the boxes" stated Schlesinger.

The 40 for 40 collection goes until Easter. The list is available at the church, or can be requested on their FB page https://www.facebook.com/fccg.... if anyone would like to contribute.
