First-Ever Coffee Crawl Coming to Geneva

Specialty coffee drinks, some including alcohol, will be served up at the event on March 2.

GENEVA, IL -- The Geneva Chamber of Commerce is bringing a new event to town on March 2. The Coffee Cup Crawl will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with 11 Geneva businesses planning to serve up samples of coffee. This is not your typically black coffee, and attendees can expect a variety of coffee creations, including some with alcohol.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the chamber's office, 8 S. Third Street in Geneva starting on Feb. 20 and are currently available for purchase online at wwwgenevachamber.com. This event may sell out, chamber of commerce officials said.

Attendees will get a coffee cup, which will be used for your samples. Tickets and coffee cups will be available for pick up at the Geneva Visitor Center, 10 S. Third St., Geneva, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 2.

From there, attendees can visit businesses in Geneva to try different samples. Those participating in the event, and the drinks they plan to serve, are:

  • 318 Coffeehouse, 316 Franklin St.: Iced Horchata Coffee with Cinnamon
  • Coffee Drop Shop, 227 S. Third St.: Specialty Walnut Coffee
  • Deane's Market & Deli, 500 S. Third St.: Irish Cream & Coffee
  • Fox River Distilling Company, 204 Dearborn Court, Unit 110: FreshGround Coffee Liqueur White Russian (this drink contains alcohol)
  • FreshGround Roasting, 321 Stevens St., Suite N: Mocktail Coffee Mule
  • Harvey's Tales, 216 James St., Nitro Cold Brew
  • Houlihan’s, 1322 Commons Drive, Espresso Martini (this drink contains alcohol)
  • Kilwins Chocolates & Ice Cream, 407 S. Third St., Ste. 186: Special House Blend
  • The Little Traveler, 404 S. Third St.: Jamaican Me Crazy
  • Penrose Brewing Company, 509 Stevens St.: Imperial Coffee Stout (this drink contains alcohol)
  • Stockholm’s (which will open at 11 a.m.), 306 W. State St.: Hot White Russian (this drink contains alcohol)

A map denoting the locations participating in the coffee crawl, as well as extra maps will also be available for pick up when you get your tickets and can also be viewed online.
