Five Chicago-Area Hospitals Make Truven's 100 Top Hospitals List
These area hospitals are ranked among the best in the nation.

Five Chicago-area hospitals have made Truven Health Analytics’ 100 Top Hospitals List for 2016.
The list was released Monday and includes Advocate General Hospital in Park Ridge, NorthShore University HealthSystem in Evanston and Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, which were were among Truven’s top major teaching hospitals.Edward Hospital in Naperville and Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove also made Truven’s list of the best large community hospitals in the nation.
Truven Health Analytics annual 100 Top Hospitals study incorporates independent public data; proprietary, risk-adjusted and peer-reviewed methodology; and key performance metrics to arrive at an objective, independent analysis of the best hospitals in the nation, according to Truven.

The study, which compares nearly 3,000 hospitals in the U.S., evaluates hospitals on measures of overall organizational performance, including patient care, operational efficiency, financial stability, and patient perception of care. It compares hospitals only against similar facilities in terms of size and teaching status. The full study can be found here.
