The shelters are overflowing with unwanted dogs and puppies. Every week we have to turn away hundreds of requests to accept dogs into our adoption program. We have been contacted by our rescue partner in Tennessee with a plea to help them save these dogs.
We have the opportunity to bring these pups to safety this coming Saturday 9/10/16, but we need your help to do it!
Shasta Border Collie mix Approx. 1 yr old and 33 pounds
Shasta is a sweet and loving little girl. She is extremely smart, full of energy, and loves to play. She would be a great family dog. she is great with other dogs and children and is a shelter favorite!

Disney and her 8 (YES 8!) Puppies
Disney was dumped at the shelter with her 8 puppies. Being a new mom, she couldn't hunt, so off to the shelter...so sad! We are looking for several foster homes for these pups; one for mom, and will divide the puppies into groups of 2's, 3's or 4's. These pups are desperate...a shelter is NO PLACE for puppies!

BO - 1 year old Lab/Flat Coat Retriever Mix
Bo is just as loving as can be and can't understand why he was left at the shelter!
Willis - About 1 year old, Male
Look at that FACE!!!! We are told he is a gentle soul that is lost at the shelter.
The following dogs are Heartworm Positive, which means they have heartworm and are usually overlooked by adopters and often are the first euthanized. We have been blessed with a veterinary partner that treats these dogs at a discounted rate to allows us to save them. As long as your dog is up to date on vaccinations and current on heartworm prevention, there is no risk to your dog.
DeOhGee Male Border Collie/Basset Mix 2 - 3 years old weighing 32lbs.
DeOhGee was picked up by animal control after being shot. Sadly he lost his leg, but it hasn't slowed him down. He is a beautiful boy and ready to be someone's new best friend. Sadly, DeOhGee is Heartworm positive and would love to come to IL to start his treatment.
Tootsie Lab Mix Approx. 2 yrs old.
Tootsie is a loving little girl who just wants to find a family to call her own. She is very sweet and does really well with other dogs. Tootsie is Heartworm + and would love to come to IL to start her treatment. Tootsie will need a committed foster home before we can rescue her from the high kill shelter she is currently living in.
Oakley Approx. 3 yrs old Approx. 55 lbs.
Oakley is a sweet and handsome boy who would like to find a family to call his own! Sadly, Oakley is Heartworm + and would benefit greatly by coming to IL to start his treatment.
We pay for all vetting, food, toys, leash and collar for the foster dog or puppy. You provide love, socialization, and start the dog or puppy on basic training. We are there to help you and discuss any challenges that you are facing. We want a successful experience for you and the dog in your care.
Our foster families have the first option to adopt the dog or puppy in their care, so it's a great way to determine if you are ready for a dog, or even a second or third!
