Our shelter partners in Tennessee are over"pup"ulated! The state does not have Spay and Neuter Laws like Illinois and they are doing the best they can to shelter all of the dogs and puppies in need.
Safe Haven Dog Rescue would like to help these dogs and puppies by bringing them to Illinois on Saturday 6/29. We don’t have a physical location, so we rely on the generosity of our community to open their homes to these dogs while they find their forever families. There's no better way to celebrate Independence Day than by helping a pup to freedom!

Dulcie and Deuce - Female and Male Lab mix puppies, about 12 weeks old. Dulcie (black female) is a reserved puppy. She enjoys sitting in the rocking chair with her fosters. She would do best in a home with Deuce or another dog to continue to build her confidence. Deuce (fluffy black male) is out going. He knows 'sit', LOVES swimming in the pool, and is very playful!
Blu - About 10 month old female lab mix. She is more petite than most Labs, but she has the happy and playful Lab personality.

Sugar - 1 to 2 year old Female Boxer Mix. She is as sweet as her name and look at that adorable under bite!
Buster - About 3 year old Mastiff Mix - Heartworm Positive - This sweet boy is a shelter favorite. He is a big lug that wants nothing but love. He keeps his kennel clean and gets along with other dogs. Unfortunately, he is HW Positive and will require treatment (which Safe Haven will provide).
Sundra - About 2 years old, Female, mixed breed. She is currently about 30lbs, though she is underweight and could stand to gain a few pounds. She came to the shelter with her puppies and now that they are old enough, it's Sundra's time to find a family. She looks like a little fox when her ears are up! She’s very loving and sweet!
Hogan - Male hound mix about 6 months old and 35lbs. The shelter says he’s very sweet and loves to play with other dogs. He’s calm when he’s by himself. Look t that face!
Safe Haven provides you with everything you need while you foster. You also have the first option to adopt the dog you foster.
