Foster Homes Needed This Weekend!
The Difference Between Being Abandoned and Being Rescued is A Foster Home!
Safe Haven Dog Rescue would like to bring these two pups to Illinois this weekend to give them a fresh start for the New Year…
But they needs foster homes first!
Millie – A 5 year old Beagle mix that, as you can see by her picture, is so uncertain of her future and very sad. We would like to take that fear away and show her what it’s like to be safe and loved.

Franklin – A 2 year old Corgi mix. He is a very sweet and handsome boy that would love a family to show him love.
Maverick - About 2 years old, found with long matted hair and looked like no one cared for him for a very long time. Maverick is Heart Worm Positive and will need to be on antibiotics for 30 days and will then need two injections, 24 hours apart. After treatment, he cannot run or be active for 30 days.

These dogs are also available for our Foster to Adopt program. This program allows you to be the family that greets him when he arrives in Illinois. Foster to Adopt families have the first option to adopt if you determine this is the pup right for you!
While you foster, we pay all expenses from vetting, to food and we provide a crate, leash, collars, and toys. Your family provides love (something they desperately need!) and a warm place for these pups until they find their forever homes. We also require that you have the ability to take these pups to routine veterinary visits at our participating vets. These vets are located in Wheaton, Naperville, and Elmhurst. Spay/Neuters are done in North Aurora.
Fostering is the most life giving thing you can do for a dog or puppy! It is a very rewarding experience that will make a huge impact on their life. By becoming a foster you are saving 2 lives - the animal you bring into your home while he or she waits to be adopted, and the animal who gets to take your foster’s place in the shelter.
