Geneva Fresh Thyme Opens Wednesday
And the local grocer has opening specials planned, which include a free bag of groceries to the first 250 in line on Wednesday.

GENEVA, IL -- The long-awaited opening of Fresh Thyme Market in Geneva is fast-approaching, store officials announced last week. Fresh Thyme will open its doors to the public starting at 7 a.m. on Feb. 6. The grocer, which focuses on selling healthy, organic products and groceries, is located at 2000 S. Randall Road in the same strip mall that houses Burlington and At Home.
The first 250 shoppers in line on grand opening morning will receive a free bag of groceries. You must be over the age of 18 years old to qualify for the special, according to a news release from Fresh Thyme. A four-day celebration will follow at the store where there will be live music, kids activities, food sampling, beer tastings and more.
For those wanting a sneak peak of the store prior to Wednesday, you can stop out between 4 and 7 p.m. on Tuesday to shop, store officials said. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held before to that at 3:45 p.m., which will include Chamber of Commerce officials and various neighborhood associations, according to a news release. During the ceremony, a $2,500 check donation will be made to Fox Valley Food for Health.

We encourage residents to come check out our family-friendly celebration.”
Fresh Thyme will be donating proceeds from the Boar’s Head hot dog cart made during opening festivities to Moose Charities.
In addition to stocking local produce, Fresh Thyme will feature local products including Gun Barrel Coffee, Sunny Hill Honey and Phil’s Eggs, to name a few. The store also has a juice bar and kombucha kegerator.
Fresh Thyme is located in a portion of a former Dominick's grocery store in Geneva. A Burlington store opened in September in the other half of the former Dominick's, which closed in 2013. At Home also opened last year at the shopping center.
