Gas Gauge: Bad News Is the Stock Market Crash, Good News Is That Gas Prices Dropped 4 Cents

Gas Gauge is going down, and the good news is it could go lower.

Gas prices in Geneva continue to fall. Not as much as the stock market, but they're falling nonetheless.

The lowest price at 11 a.m. Monday was $3.85 at BP.

Maybe the only good thing about the crash on Monday—the worst since 2008—is that the price of oil dropped to its lowest of the year.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange, crude fell $5.57 and finished at $81.31 per barrel.

Gasoline lost 11.36 cents to settle at $2.6916 a gallon.

Today in Geneva, the price went down another 4 cents since last week, but it's still at $3.88 a gallon.
