Gas Gauge: That Darn Stuff Is Up in Price Again

This morning started at $4.19, and this afternoon, more are in the $4.23 range.

I collected Gas Gauge data this morning, then finished in the afternoon. So if any of the a.m. numbers changed since my initial eye-spy, let us know.

But as you can see from the chart, gasoline prices went up quite a bit from last week, and it wouldn't surprise me if some of the $4.19s spotted this morning have since moved into the higher bracket.

, as you'll recall, we saw the price of gas in Geneva drop to about $4.10, with the majority at $4.09 for a gallon of regular—prompting the Pollyanna in me to wonder if prices might dip below $4.

Silly me.

Last week's was collected May 31. And six days later, the price is up 12 cents on average, all the way to $4.22 per gallon.
