Gas Gauge: This Week's Low Price at Citgo West Side
At about 10:30 Monday morning, the station with the lowest price was the one that often has the highest price. Go figure.
Just when I think I've got this whole gas-price pattern figured out, something happens to remind me that I am (as usual) clueless.
If you look at the chart, there's generally one constant on our gas gauge, and that's the comfortable certainty that the Citgo on the West Side near the Kane County Government Center will be a few pennies more than the group.
Not today.

In fact, the Citgo beat its competitors hands down for the best gas price in Geneva. Way to go, Citgo!
The bad news, of course, is that the average price of a gallon of regular in Geneva jumped 14 cents to $3.89—just in time for the Labor Day Weekend.
