GENEVA 304 EARNS MERITORIOUS BUDGET AWARD

Geneva School District Recognized for Excellence in School Budget Presentation by the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO)

For the fifth year in a row, the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International has awarded Geneva Community Unit School District 304 the Meritorious Budget Award for excellence in budget presentation.

The Meritorious Budget Awards (MBA) program promotes and recognizes excellence in school budget presentation and enhances school business officials' skills in developing, analyzing, and presenting a school system budget.

“This is a prestigious award that demonstrates the excellent work of Assistant Superintendent for Business Donna Oberg, our Business Office Staff, and the work of Greg Kubitz of PMA,” said Superintendent Dr. Kent Mutchler. “This award represents a ‘Tradition of Excellence’ for our school system and reflects the district’s commitment to sound fiscal management practices.”

The MBA is conferred on a district only after a rigorous review by professional auditors. Awardees must meet or exceed the program’s stringent standards.
