Geneva 9-Year-Old's Ninja Skills Get Him On TV
Airing this Saturday is the start of American Ninja Warrior Junior, a contest including a talented Geneva 9-year-old.

GENEVA, IL — Who knew ninjas are among us in Geneva? Miguel Serrato, 9, a contestant in American Ninja Warrior Junior, the kids' version of the popular adult obstacle course contest show.
Miguel is in fourth grade and, alongside his competitors, was picked from a group of nearly 10,000 kids, the Kane County Chronicle reports his mother, Anna Marie Serrato, as saying. She said he use to wrestle, but likes obstacle courses more.
The course is similar to the adult American Ninja Warrior course, but made easier for kids. American Ninja Warrior is based on Sasuke, the original Japanese version of the show broadcast as Ninja Warrior.

The 20-episode series has one episode with Miguel, the Chronicle reports, but which episode is unknown to the public.
The show airs at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13 on the Universal Kids network.

Hosting the show are Akbar Gbajabiamila, former NFL linebacker and TV personality, Laurie Hernadez, the Olympic gold medalist in gymnastics, and Matt Iseman, comedian and TV personality.
