Geneva Attorney Faces Disciplinary Actions
Peter O. Muldoon has been suspended by the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois.

Peter O. Muldoon, an attorney in Geneva, is among 36 lawyers in the state who were suspended by the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois, the Kane County Chronicle reports.
Mr. Muldoon, who was licensed in Illinois in 1989, was suspended for six months and until further order of the court, according to the Illinois State Bar Association website.
He failed to pursue a child custody matter on behalf of a client and failed to refund any portion of the fees and costs paid to him in that matter. In addition, he failed to cooperate with the ARDC and did not participate in his own disciplinary proceeding.

Laurel Sue Hickman, a St. Charles attorney who was licensed in 1989, was also suspended. She was suspended for one year, with the last six months stayed by a two-year period of conditional probation. She neglected three separate client matters, did not communicate with the clients, and failed to refund unearned fees to two of the clients, according to the ISBA website.
The Illinois Supreme Court announced the filing of lawyer disciplinary orders on September 21.
