Geneva Bike Rodeo To Feature Helmet Fittings, Bike Repairs, Riding Course

Geneva's Bike and Pedestrian Committee is hosting the free bike rodeo at Wheeler Park.

GENEVA, IL — Geneva children are invited to come together May 17 for a bike rodeo at Wheeler Park.

Sponsored by the city's Bike and Pedestrian Committee, the free event is planned as a fun and educational opportunity from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Geneva Police Department, along with local experts, will lead activities including skill testing, helmet fittings, bike repairs and a riding safety course touching on bike and pedestrian rules.

The Illinois Prairie Path, Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Fox Valley Bicycle and Ski Club and the Geneva Park District are slated to participate in the bike rodeo.
