Geneva Bike Rodeo Will Be About 'Fun, Education And Safety'

Bike riders will be able to test their skills, visit a repair station and get their helmets fitted during the educational and fun event.

GENEVA, IL — Geneva's Bike and Pedestrian Committee will host a Bike Rodeo for an "afternoon of fun, education and safety" on May 4.

The free event will take place from noon to 2 p.m. in the north parking lot of Wheeler Park, 822 N. First St.

Geneva police and local experts will provide lessons and tips during the day. Families are invited to bring their children, who will be able to:

  • Test their skills at the bike safety riding course
  • Get free bike safety checks and visit the repair station with local bike shops
  • Have helmets fitted with Northwestern Medicine
  • Learn about bike and pedestrian safety with local partners from the Illinois Prairie Path, Fox Valley Bike & Ski Club and the Geneva Park District.
