Geneva Empty Nesters Open Wine Business
The couple sells Bright Angel Wines through their website, home parties, local events and social media.

Geneva empty-nesters Pat and Robbin Pipp have turned their love of wine and the Grand Canyon into a business, Bright Angel Wines. Their family owned winery sells ultra-premium California wines through their website www.brightangelwines.com; home parties; local events and social media.
“Our wines are a proprietary blend made from grapes selected from well known vineyards in California. We work with a custom crush facility in Napa that helps us to blend, bottle, age and ship our wines,” said owner Pat Pipp.

Their first wine is a 2013 Chardonnay from Courtney’s Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills AVA, just outside of Santa Barbara.
“The Santa Rita Hills is one of the hottest areas for Chardonnay, and we have made a fantastic well balanced wine that will appeal to many palates,” said owner Robbin Pipp.

The name, Bright Angel Wines, was inspired by a trip that the Pipp family took to the Grand Canyon. While vacationing, they took a special two day hike covering 24 miles along the Bright Angel Trail.
On Nov. 1, Bright Angel Wines started selling their 2013 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The Bordeaux blend is made of 82% Napa Cab, 13% Merlot, 4% Petite Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc.
