Geneva Gas Guide: Prices Drop Bigtime

Use our weekly guide to find the lowest gasoline prices in the Tri-Cities of Batavia, Geneva and St. Charles.

National average gasoline prices declined 5.2 cents per gallon of regular gasoline this week, and are down 16.6 cents a gallon from a month ago.

The price dropped in Geneva, too. Last week, the best price in Geneva was $3.79—and it was 3.87 two weeks ago. This week, it's $3.69 at Fuller's, Mobile and Citgo.

It's even better in St. Charles, where three gas stations were recording $3.53 as the lowest price per gallon of regular gasoline in the Tri-Cities on Wednesday, according to Illinois Gas Prices.

AAA’s Daily Fuel Gauge Report showed that nationally, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline late Wednesday was $3.519 a gallon, down slightly from $3.522 a day earlier and down from $3.572 a week ago. The national average of a gallon of regular gas a month ago was $3.685, and was $3.904 a year ago. The highest recorded national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $4.114 on July 17, 2008.
